Located in the former Monnet cooperage, "Le 1838" offers some 300 cognac references from over 40 houses, as well as a wide range of spirits and champagne selected by our teams.

Mr. Ron, Resident DJ at Bar 1838
Starting May 14, 2026, and throughout the summer season, MR Ron, a Parisian DJ and music curator, will be spinning elegant and eclectic sets at Bar 1838. With over 12 years of experience in France and abroad, he performs at prestigious clubs, hotels, and events.
A passionate collector, he crafts sophisticated atmospheres, driven by groove and inspired by musical discoveries, for a sound experience that is both subtle and immersive.

The rooftop
Perched above Cognac, the rooftop of Bar 1838 offers an exceptional view of the city. In an elegant and intimate atmosphere, it invites you to savor signature cocktails and tapas from a new menu to discover at sunset, in a setting designed for relaxation and summer escape, punctuated by games of pétanque on the terrace in a friendly and laid-back spirit.
Open for the 2026 season
The Rooftop has opened its doors for the 2026 season. Throughout the summer, resident DJ Mr. Ron will set the mood for the evenings with captivating music, carrying the magic of Cognac’s sunsets well into the night.
Please note that during the summer season, Bar 1838 closes in favor of the Rooftop, except on nights when the weather is bad.

Distillers' Gathering
Twice a month, Bar 1838 hosts "Rendez-vous des Distillateurs," a series of events dedicated to exploring our partner cognac houses.
In an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, these events showcase the producers’ expertise through complimentary tastings provided by the guest house. It’s also an opportunity to discover signature creations crafted by the bartenders at Bar 1838, ranging from refined cocktails to contemporary takes on cognac.
A unique sensory experience, open to all, designed for both enthusiasts and the simply curious.

Our talented head bartender, Mickael Ulrich, welcomes you to the pinnacle of the cocktail experience.
Mickael arrived at the beginning of 2025 and has breathed new life into our bar by completely reinventing the cocktail menu. His original creations, both daring and refined, are already winning over customers with their balance, aestheticism and inventiveness.
Creative, rigorous and passionate, he conceives each cocktail as a true sensory experience, designed to sublimate the moment and perfectly match the panoramic view from our rooftop.
