Located in the former Monnet cooperage, "Le 1838" offers some 300 cognac references from over 40 houses, as well as a wide range of spirits and champagne selected by our teams.
Every evening, the team showcases its latest creations in a festive atmosphere.

A jazz pianist and singer, her music is lively, intimate, and captivating. From March 12 to May 17, Wednesdays through Sundays starting at 7 p.m., her music will be the highlight of your evenings.

The rooftop
Perched above Cognac, the rooftop of Bar 1838 offers an exceptional panoramic view of the city. In an elegant and intimate atmosphere, it invites guests to savor signature cocktails at sunset, in a setting designed for relaxation and summer escapism, punctuated by games of pétanque on the terrace in a friendly and laid-back spirit.
Reopening on May 14
The Rooftop will reopen on May 14 for the 2026 season. An opening night will kick off the summer, followed by lively events throughout the summer season. Starting May 15, a resident DJ will liven up the nights on the rooftop, keeping the party going until the end of the season.

Distillers' Gathering
Twice a month, Bar 1838 hosts "Rendez-vous des Distillateurs," a series of events dedicated to exploring our partner cognac houses.
In an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, these events showcase the producers’ expertise through complimentary tastings provided by the guest house. It’s also an opportunity to discover signature creations crafted by the bartenders at Bar 1838, ranging from refined cocktails to contemporary takes on cognac.
A unique sensory experience, open to all, designed for both enthusiasts and the simply curious.

Our talented head bartender, Mickael Ulrich, welcomes you to the pinnacle of the cocktail experience.
Mickael arrived at the beginning of 2025 and has breathed new life into our bar by completely reinventing the cocktail menu. His original creations, both daring and refined, are already winning over customers with their balance, aestheticism and inventiveness.
