Angélique Café

Bonbon bar, The Angélique, is named after the wild herb angelica, also called “Angel’s grass” in France, and which has grown since the dawn of time in this region. This is a café with a difference: order your espresso and choose from a wide selection of traditional French bonbons and other sweets to go with it.

L’ Angélique also offers a selection of delicious fresh cakes and pastries baked on the premises by Chais Monnet’s very own pastry chef, Michael Durieux, perfect at Tea Time with one of the teas supplied by “le Parti du thé” of Paris, or a cup of Chais Monnet’s special blend coffee from La Rochelle-based coffee maker Merling.

When our chef Sébastien Broda imagined La Distillerie, his intention was to create a modern brasserie with a menu based on fresh, locally sourced produce and seasonal eating.
